1. Introduction

This privacy policy covers all plugins, extensions, and apps ("Products") developed and operated by ByStenild, owned by Jonas Stenild, a sole proprietorship registered in Denmark (VAT: DK38194143).

This policy describes the website, enquiries to ByStenild and the functions of the published plugins. Processing in an individual store also depends on its platform, installed version, configuration and other extensions.

Statistics on stenild.io

On stenild.io we count page views, opening and copying contact drafts, and clicks to official purchase pages. Counts are aggregated by UTC day, known page path and action on our own server for no more than 90 days. These statistics do not store IP addresses, browser details, referrers, URL parameters, message content or visitor identifiers. Measurement sets no cookies and uses no local browser storage.

Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are respected. Automated test visits are excluded. Ordinary operational and security logs at the web server and network provider are separate from these counts and may contain connection information. Requests pass through the site’s existing infrastructure.

The contact tool creates a draft in your email app or copies text on your device. Draft content is not sent to the statistics system. A contact click does not establish that an email was sent; a marketplace click is not a purchase.

A scan sends a public website address and, optionally, a list of old addresses to our server. We request robots.txt, permitted pages, internal links, sitemaps and redirect destinations within the scan. Destination sites see requests from our server and the scanner user agent. Reports and required URL addresses are kept temporarily in memory for no more than one hour from the start and may be removed earlier. They are not stored in a database or an access log for the API endpoints. Imported files are processed in the browser; only extracted URLs are sent to the server. Traffic metrics and other CSV fields are not imported into the report. The single-URL checker does not retain the address or result after responding. Temporary IP-based limits and caps on simultaneous scans restrict misuse. Ordinary infrastructure processing is separate. The tool does not use your browser’s login or cookies and does not change shop settings.

3. What Data We Collect

Store and product data

Product redirects may use product URLs, handles and slugs, category or collection assignments, and shop, language or sales-channel settings to create source-to-destination rules.

Permissions and redirect statistics

The Shopify App Store lists product and collection access, editing Online Store navigation, and displayed store-owner information. Review the permission screen when installing. Shopware and WooCommerce provide additional management and redirect-count features; the exact scope differs by platform and release.

Current Shopware release notes describe redirect logs without user agents or IP hashes. Its optional visitor notice uses a functional cookie registered with Shopware’s Cookie Consent Manager. The store’s other extensions and settings remain subject to the merchant’s own privacy information.

4. How We Use Your Data

Functional data is used to associate known old product URLs with relevant destinations and to create, review and manage redirect rules. Depending on the platform, the plugin can display a configured visitor notice and summarize redirect activity in its administration interface.

A redirect count does not establish a completed sale or preservation of a search ranking. Website statistics are described separately above.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

The marketplaces, commerce platforms and technical hosting environment have their own terms for access, processing and security. Opening an external marketplace is subject to that provider’s privacy and account terms; purchases and subscriptions are managed there.

Shopware and WooCommerce extensions run in the merchant’s installation. Native Shopify redirect rules are managed in Shopify. For the behavior of an individual plugin release, use its current documentation and changelog or contact ByStenild with the platform and version.

6. Data Storage and Security

Storage, access controls and backups depend on the platform and operating environment. Check the documentation and configuration of the installed release when assessing data handling.

This website and an installed plugin are separate applications. Website measurement stores only the daily totals described above and does not read merchant-store settings or customer data.

7. Data Retention

Retention depends on the platform, plugin version and settings. The current Shopware release lines document a 30-day default for redirect logs; WooCommerce documents a configurable log retention setting. Redirect rules can be managed in the plugin or platform interface. Check the specific release’s deletion and uninstall settings before removing the extension.

8. Your Rights

Where personal data is processed, rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection may apply subject to the relevant legal conditions. Send questions about data held by ByStenild to hello@stenild.io. Requests are handled within applicable legal time limits.

You may also contact a competent data protection authority. For data processed independently by a merchant or marketplace, that provider may be the appropriate contact.

9. Platform APIs and Access Scopes

Permissions depend on the platform and installed release. Shopify’s current listing includes viewing products and collections, editing Online Store navigation and displayed store-owner information. Review the actual installation permission screen and current documentation.

10. Store Visitor Privacy

A product redirect sends the browser to the configured destination. The current Shopware changelog describes redirect logs without user agents or IP hashes and an optional notice whose cookie is registered with Shopware’s Cookie Consent Manager. The store’s own cookies, other extensions and platform settings are covered by the store’s privacy policy.

11. Children's Privacy

Our Products are business tools designed for e-commerce merchants. They are not directed at children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Products' functionality, the addition of new Products, or changes in applicable regulations. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. If a change is material, we will notify affected merchants through the respective platform's admin panel or via email.
